Covered shoes

Below 1500 actually no more snow at all. On the forest road it went west from about 1500. To the Weidener Hütte half of it has to be carried. At the top it was good as usual.

Snow quality

Breakable crust
Powder snow
Jelly snow

All in all, it was rather modest. However, old powder can still be found between the patches of broken harsh snow above 2300. The mood. Massive slush below. In the afternoon it got slushy.

Risks

Diurnal warming
South

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

Sliding snow mouths in the distance, we were too deep for the drift snow. It's easy to imagine the wet snow becoming active.

Overall impression

Worse

For it to be good, you have to get out really high, below 2300 pretty ass. In view of the increasing Föhn storm, we can only advise against an undertaking...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
