Snow condition
From the start at 1500m there was a settled old snow cover with 20-30cm of powder on the north side. Above 2100m, the risk of sharks increases as the old snow cover is more influenced by the wind. On the south side or turned more towards the sun, there was only a continuous layer of old snow much higher up
Snow quality
Cold powder without wind influence, but it was very different today depending on the mountain, sometimes the storm was so strong that the lifts were closed.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
It is now essential to watch out for drift snow, the fresh snow is very cold and easy to trigger. The old snow problem is now even more relevant, as it has been all winter.
Overall impression
It's here after all, after a long dry spell the nordstau has delivered some nice fresh snow. Only the visibility wasn't so good, otherwise 4*. It's best to go where there was still old snow to be able to ski without any worries.
