Good snow conditions from the parking lot in the valley, which even makes descents in the forest possible. In the open terrain, however, the wind has already done a great job and blown the first areas bare again.
Snow quality
very fine powder in the morning at -15°C in the forest. In the upper part of the tree line and higher but then wind-pressed.
Risks
I abandoned my planned tour before the end of the tree line. There was a strong wind in the sparse forest and it was visibly blowing snow. The first open meadow slope had a weak layer close to the ground with drift snow on top. That was too tricky for me.
Overall impression
Really good powder below the tree line in the sheltered forest... In retrospect, I was annoyed that I hadn't just skinned up again. So I was back at lunchtime and it got warm in the afternoon. This made the snow heavier in the valley. I'll test what it's like further up in the next few days.
