Snow condition

The snow conditions can be considered good in so far as you can start in the valley on skis and get back down without coming into contact with rocks. Up in the mountain pines, however, half a meter more would make things much easier. Unfortunately, the summits were already blown off again.

Snow quality

The high temperatures yesterday afternoon/evening caused the snow to thaw from the trees. As a result, a layer of ice formed in the forest overnight. From 1300m (sheltered from the wind, northwest) mostly still settled powder...

Risks

The avalanche danger today was 2 below 1500m and a 3 above. It was also fairly calm on the ascent. However, this is likely to have changed in the afternoon/evening.

You take what you can get. It's a shame that it's now so warm. We can only hope that the next precipitation comes as snow and not as rain. At least there would be a basis now.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
