Snow condition
Taking off from 1100 m is still possible, as is skiing down. On the sunny side it looks really thin. We actually wanted to do something longer today, but the 2nd ascent in southern exposures would no longer have been reasonable for skiing down due to a lack of snow (approx. 1450 m to 1700 m). More and more grass is also appearing on the east side at higher altitudes (>1400 m). Areas exposed to the wind have been properly treated by the wind and it is not worth skiing there either. The possibilities are very limited. Emotionally, I would prefer to award 1 star for the end of January. As you can still reach the valley without a footpath, I would give it 2 stars.
Snow quality
On the purely snowy side, we still found heavily settled powder snow. On the sunny side, you're skiing on a hard frozen blanket of snow. In general, there is already a lot of tracked snow and it's getting harder and harder to find untracked terrain with good snow.
Risks
Quite relaxed today. LWS 1 is absolutely correct. Only steep entrances in the transition from little to more snow should be judged a little more critically. However, there is a higher risk of falling than burial. There is a higher risk from terrain traps due to a lack of snow.
Overall impression
Unfortunately, today's excursion ended earlier than planned due to a lack of snow. There was at least one good descent and the ground visibility was also ok during our outing. Fresh snow is urgently needed so that there are more touring opportunities.

Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
