Snow condition
Around 60cm of fresh snow in the upper area. In the lower area and in the forest, the tracks along the ascent route are already worn. Stone contact possible here, but easily avoidable.
Snow quality
Champagne powder in the upper area. Lots of fresh snow, super-deep, soft and fluffy. Almost too deep for the flat sections.
Risks
Apart from the last 100 m of the tour, everything is in the forest and relatively flat, so the risk of avalanches is negligible. Snow drifts and drift snow accumulations on and around the summit ridge.
Overall impression
Fantastic fresh snow powder. However, uncomfortable weather and strong wind in the summit area. A few fantastic turns with face shots. Then only along the ascent route on worn paths or next to it in the dense forest.
