Lots of snow in the Bärenkopf area. Latschen almost completely snowed in. Only ridges and ridge partially blown off.
Snow quality
In north-facing/shady and wind-protected areas, the finest powder on any base. There was about 15 cm of fresh snow in the region, which fell without wind below and in the area of the tree line. In the summit and ridge areas, the wind has resulted in a lot of snow and a corresponding snow surface, but it is still easy to ski.
Risks
Local and small-scale accumulations of drifting snow in ridge and summit areas above the tree line.
Overall impression
Still excellent conditions at Lake Achensee: 15 cm of fresh snow on what kind of base; wind influence only noticeable in exposed areas.
Surprisingly, there is no hard crust under the fresh snow in the region and the influence of warmth is not noticeable.
