Snow report Upper Bavaria, 01/27/2021
After-work power turns - but also wind
Upper Bavaria
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Sufficient snow, 30cm fresh from the day before yesterday and yesterday, 5cm more today. However, the wind has been raging in the Mangfallgebirge and has blown off entire summit slopes upwind right down to the grass...
Snow quality
Great in the forest and wind-protected areas, even if with a light lid in places. Fast and fine.
Risks
Massive wind loads, wakes forming. No other warning signs noticed. Otherwise, we'll have to wait and see how the warm front changes tomorrow...
Overall impression
Nice turn out before the weather changed, some pow turns did us good.
