Snow condition
There was fresh snow in quantities of 15 cm to 20 cm. The base is good. Only the areas exposed to the wind, such as ridges, still have upward potential.
Snow quality
The fresh snow fell in colder temperatures. The quality was quite good. We were in a wind-protected corner that hardly saw any sun today. Only the first few meters near the ridge were exposed to the wind. There was a light cover on the sunny side, but that was only a few meters for us.
Risks
Due to the darkness, we chose a conservative meadow tour below the tree line. The wind was an issue for almost the entire tour. The main focus was on the fresh drift snow.
Overall impression
A nice night tour in wintry temperatures and with clear skies and good snow, which makes the end of the day a really good mood.
