Below 1200 really catastrophic. Sugar on grass. Things should be different at the beginning of February. Even on shady slopes, the only thing that helps is the certainty that there are no stones under the snow cover. Above 1200, the mountain pines are not completely covered in snow, but at least there is no more contact - with the ground.

Finest Champagne powder. In wind-protected areas, sometimes 25 cm of the very best absorbent cotton. The meadow in the lower area runs like soft soap with the ice-cold powder - also quite funny.

Risks

In exposed locations, the snow depth is less than in the lee. Consequently, the wind must have been somewhere. But the powder is not bound at all.

Overall impression

The third star goes to the poor snow conditions in the lower area. Here in Chiemgau, however, the snow quality is at least really good and thanks to the cold it should stay that way over the weekend.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
