Snow condition
As was to be expected after the long spring, the late summer has little fresh snow to report with excessively high temperatures. Everything concerning the SE - S - SW sector is unfortunately quite sad. On the plus side, however, there is definitely good grip (see picture)On the north side and in sheltered areas, things are not quite so bad. Here you can still find a closed snow cover which is covered by about 10 cm of settled powder. However, a solid base is missing and one or two fine contacts are to be expected.
Snow quality
Grass or powder - there are two options at the moment. However, you can tell that the powder is already a few days old. Underneath is a fairly strong lid that is punctured by various greenery.
Risks
You shouldn't have any problems hiking southwards. Where there is snow, everything is pretty stable so far. The only thing I could observe today were a few snow mouths that were open on steep meadow slopes. This could be a bit of a problem as the "winter" progresses.
Overall impression
Mau - there is the possibility to ski some very nice slopes. But overall it's rather sad, hence only one star.
