Easy to start from the parking lot in the second row of foothills. Lots of snow at high altitudes. The ascent to the Geigelstein (from the Achental) is groomed differently from the shoulder up the snow face than usual via the summer trail. Never seen before.

Unbound powder on even more unbound powder in the forest. Further up, it lies on wind-bound powder. Overall, it's nice and deep at all altitudes and so fluffy that you can cruise through it loudly and effortlessly. On the pure south side, it got a bit more difficult from 13:00.

Risks

Yesterday a 3 at the top, today 2. I was rather cautious on the way because I didn't really trust the idyll. Due to the loose fresh snow, the snow packs from Monday night were difficult to see (see the small, snow-covered board in the photo). However, all the usual steep stuff was tracked in without any consequences.

With a little less competition and a lighter pow to the south, the fifth star would have been due today. So 4 for a very relaxed bike-to-ski activity in glorious weather.
