Hat der Winter ein schlechtes Gewissen?

Snow condition
During the week, you could easily do your after-work ride in the Mangfallgebirge on your MTB up to 1200 m on a dry trail in the forest. At the end of the week, however, we were finally able to complete our after-work round on skis in the terrain. Start at 1100 m with 10 cm of fresh snow, which grew to around 20 cm as the altitude increased to just under 1700. Problem: this is often on bare ground or on a hard base. You should definitely know where there was still snow today in order to enjoy the mountain with fresh snow in a fun and accident-free way. Today's precipitation came with less wind and covered some of the terrain traps nicely. Visually it looks white, but the snow conditions are still a drama.
Snow quality
Temperatures have dropped during the precipitation. That's good, because you don't hit the old snow cover so often. In general, the fresh snow was great to ski on. On my main descent, the old snow surface was quite even, i.e. no moguls.
Risks
Quite relaxed on my meadow tour. Very occasionally the snow slipped away on the ascent. But that was anything but dangerous. With the sunshine tomorrow, you should be prepared for spontaneous loose snow slides in steeper terrain. Today, the risk of injury due to lack of snow dominated over the risk of avalanches. LWS 2 for >1600 m.
Overall impression
I set off spontaneously in the afternoon and, to my great surprise, nobody had even considered my departure option. The afternoon was also quite lonely, very little activity today, but that will change tomorrow when the crowds arrive again. There is no third star today, as the visibility was quite diffuse, especially in the upper section of the descent.
