Winter peu à peu (Chiemgau - Tour N 1000-1700)

Snow condition
The weather forecast spoke of insignificant amounts of fresh snow until today. I would like to contradict that. The 5 cm of fresh snow at 1000 m and almost 10 cm at 1500 m are much more compact than the 10 - 20 super fluff from Saturday and therefore comparably important for the snow cover. it was possible to ski carefully on these 5 cm down on the forest road this afternoon. Most of the snow has accumulated above 1400 meters. Especially around the mountain pine belt, the snow cover has grown noticeably due to the drifting.
Snow quality
Of course, it doesn't come close to last Saturday. The wind has distributed the fresh new snow with some sleet and also some of the unbound snow from Saturday well over the area, so that the surfaces are reasonably smooth again. Below around 1300, however, you can feel that the tracks that were pushed up at the weekend have become damp. Above that, you can still see tracks and small piles, but they are hardly disturbing because they are as soft as butter. Here and there, of course, you still come across the hard top
Risks
To be honest, I would have been anything but surprised by a 2 at high altitudes. Clear signs of wind, crack formation. But wedges in hairpin bends don't break out, perhaps the unbound powder from the weekend acts more as a "relaxing" layer between the harsch cover and the fresh wind slab on top. If I hadn't known that the tour was well groomed, I would have been very skeptical today in the north-facing track with a good 35°.
Overall impression
On Saturday the fourth star was subjective, today it's the third. For the first time this year all alone. Good visibility on the descent, although it wasn't really ripping. Firstline, because the old tracks were barely noticeable.
