Today, shortly after 06:30, there was at least 20 cm more of fresh snow at 1100 m compared to yesterday afternoon. As the altitude increased, so did the amount of fresh snow. It is now difficult to estimate the amounts, as the precipitation has been continuing for some time. Unfortunately, the wind hasn't died down either. Due to the wind, the snow situation is unfortunately still very inhomogeneous. Terrain traps are still lurking and are now more difficult to see (e.g. streams).
Snow quality
Top in areas protected from the wind! Unfortunately, you now also ski quite a lot on fast drift snow. Quite nice to ski, but the sinking depths there are not so deep.
Risks
Compared to yesterday, the accumulations of drifting snow are even more numerous and thicker. The combo of lots of fresh snow, strong winds, poor visibility and repeated sleet calls for defensive action.
Overall impression
Nice morning with a manageable crowd. Let's see how things continue over the next few days.
