Below 1000m, you usually have to carry snow on the north side too. Depending on the expo, however, the snow cover then rises quite abruptly, so that from ~1300m almost everything (except for purely south-facing slopes) still has good snow cover

Unfortunately, we couldn't wait until the snow cover was ready to be applied everywhere due to time constraints, but firn on east-facing slopes is likely to become increasingly common late in the morning. There hasn't been any powder even on steep north-facing slopes in Chiemgau for almost a week.

negligible

Not really a worthwhile morning ski tour on the Dürrnbachhorn (the approach to the original destination Hörndlwand was too aper). But we don't regret the exercise, sun, snacks and company. PS: Photo is current, taken from the webcam of the winklmoosalm

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
