The carrying distance is still limited (100-200 m). Descents to the parking lot in Chiemgau are only possible on previously groomed pistes or cross-country ski trails.

Snow quality

We encountered dripping wet snow everywhere, except on a purely northern slope from ~1400-1600m. But even there it was already wet.

Risks

Situation break: Level 2. note the warming during the day. had to climb through a few small loose snow slides in the actually quite high, shady northern slope (->photo). They probably came down during or shortly after the snowfall at the weekend and apparently only consist of fresh snow.

Overall impression

1 von 5 Sterne

A mere 200 m descent for 1000 m ascent, the rest nasty braking snow. Not everyone likes it, even if the sun and a beer during the break make up for it. If the coming night is clear, everything will be rock hard (and firny?) again tomorrow. A cold, wet weather phase would still be welcome here; it's not over till it's over.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
