There's nothing left in Garmisch itself, but from 1000 m on the north side the snow starts to fall, south side up to 1500 m at least. Tonight there were also a few centimetres of fresh snow, which made the whole thing even more beautiful. At 2000 m there's easily 2 m, more likely more. Downhill skiing on the pistes is possible without any problems.

Snow quality

The rating applies to the ski slopes. Icy in the morning, then softer at lunchtime, TOP!

Risks

Fresh snow, which became heavier as the day progressed. In the valley, it was 15 degrees in the afternoon. We didn't see anything.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Unexpectedly good day on the slopes for the beginning of April in Garmisch. Perhaps we should have done the Alpspitze instead. It's unbelievable how many ski tourers struggle up the slopes on the local mountain.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
