Very good for April. Nice foundation for an extended spring season, at least above 1000m, north

Snow quality

Unfortunately, a layer of broken snow formed almost everywhere above the forest line overnight, under which the beautiful powder from yesterday now lies (close and yet so far away). Powder snow can only be found on steep, pure north-facing slopes >35° or occasionally in the shady forest

Risks

The snow conditions could lure many a powder addict to slopes that are far too steep, because that's the only place where you can find beautiful snow. Very relaxed in the mornings. The daytime warming will probably play a very strong role. LLB Chiemgau level 2, in the afternoon 3

Wonderful morning ski tour, alone in a t-shirt towards the morning sun. However, there's not much left in terms of downhill skiing. The better option would probably have been to let the lid soften.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
