Snow condition
The Föhn has destroyed much less than feared. In the forest aisle (north) we still skied up to 700 m without ground contact. In the forest (north) there are still relevant amounts above 800 - 1000. Fresh snow not worth mentioning here in Chiemgau
Snow quality
At the bottom 0, at the top up to 10 cm of quite powdery fresh snow on hard old snow. Below 1200 m there was a painful rattling. The icing on the cake is probably broken snow in a small altitude band, but we had too much snow beforehand.
Risks
Hochfelln only goes up to a good 1600. The 2 from the warning service was almost a bit exaggerated here in view of the very thick cover everywhere (20cm+), which I don't think can be triggered. Okay, very steep, blown-in gullies at the top perhaps, and the sliding snow problem is certainly still there. Small crack ('little too much') seen in extremely steep east-facing slope, probably left during foehn period.
Overall impression
Training tour with lots of slopes. But the base check has definitely been passed.
Just found out that the mountains in the second row (e.g. Geigelstein, Sonntagshorn) already have a bit more fresh snow and don't have as much snow cover as the foothills (Hochries, Kampen, Hochfelln).
