Snow condition
This morning 10 cm of new snow on a good base. Snow conditions are finally great from 1000m. Another 5cm added by 11.00. Only a few patches of tufts of grass exposed by the wind. The base is frozen and sometimes noticeable on turns in the west.
Snow quality
Loose fresh snow, good to ski. Would be even better with more cold. But complaining at the top level...
Risks
Drift snow and cornices clearly visible, adapted routes necessary.
Overall impression
In the morning, a small friction on three peaks in the Rotwand area. Very nice, visibility was good. From 10.00 a.m., crowds of people stormed the most popular ascent. Escape on my part.
