Upper Bavaria
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Snow from 1000m, fresh snow between 5-15cm blown over a wide area. No base thanks to the foehn. Only very limited free riding in meadows, nothing at all in the forest. Wind exposes grass - high blades are still looking out anyway...
Snow quality
The little fresh snow was grayish, but the quality was good to ski - but due to the lack of quantity, there were hardly any powder turns.
Risks
Strong winds, massive drifts. The brittle fresh snow is barely connected. The 3 issued makes sense.
Overall impression
Exercise therapy, was ok. There are hardly any lifts running in the area due to lack of snow and wind, more ski tourers than downhill skiers.
