Snow condition
At 1100 m there is now around 20 cm of fresh snow at the parking lot (there was no base at this altitude). As the altitude increased, it quickly became more and at around 1400 m there was 30 cm+. In the open terrain, the wind was blowing for quite a long time, so the snow depth is very inhomogeneous (many transitions from much to little). We skied down from just under 1700 m in a fairly wind-protected west-facing area with a slight northern exposure. There was no contact with the enemy during the entire descent to the car today. But you should still watch what you do. Just under 2 stars.
Snow quality
Beautiful fine, untracked powder right up to almost the last few meters to the car. We chose the perfect line today in terms of snow quantity and quality. Just under 4 stars for our line.
Risks
Due to fog at the start, we undertook a conservative meadow tour. On the ascent, there was a frozen layer on the ground in places exposed to the wind, with a little fresh snow on top. The rest of the ground was damp/wet and became increasingly powdery as the amount of snow increased. LWS 2 for >1600 m is suitable. Leeward slopes and gullies should be assessed critically.
Overall impression
Fine day in untracked terrain, the early bird was once again very helpful before the masses invade the Oberland. Now we can get on with the food :). Just under 4 stars
