Skitour Chiemgauer Geigelstein mit Start bei den wilden Wilderern in Schleching

Snow condition
There is still plenty of water from below. But with a few days of warmth and some rain, it will quickly become tight. The mountain pines in the upper part are also quite well covered. It's also still white in the valley in Schleching. All in all, pretty good so far.
Snow quality
Yes, it was clear that nothing would happen today. It rained until above the summit region and then froze through to about 1600m. But the wet and damp snow was still quite fun to ski on. Some of it was already spring-like. But rather the exception.
Risks
Wet snow and sliding snow. A small spontaneous snow slab in the Breitenstein gully. A very large mouth of gliding snow in the middle of the flat, but you can get over it easily. Were back down early. In the afternoon it must have become very, very soft with the temperatures.
Overall impression
Was a fun day with a good crew. Great weather and it was easy to bear the mediocre quality after the past pow pow days. I've probably been to the Geigelstein 70 times but have never started in Schleching. I almost skied there once, but that doesn't count. A good end to 2017 and kemts guad umme!
