Down at the parking lot at 1000m approx. 40cm of snow, further up at 1300/1400m even 60/70cm of snow. At the top you can ride everything wonderfully without contact with the enemy, further down you have to be a little careful in the forest every now and then. All in all, however, it is really quite easy to ski

Everything had blown off at the top, so not much fun here. A little further down, however, there was still some really nice powder in places. It's no longer super fluffy, but absolutely sufficient for a few nice turns. I had actually expected it to be worse, but towards midday the snow became noticeably heavier, especially further down (below 1100m).

Risks

As I said, it's already pretty blown at the top, I couldn't make out any big cornices. Every now and then you come across smaller fields with some wind-compressed snow, but in my opinion the snow has settled well and the risk of avalanches should be limited

All in all a great day, the first turns of the season always put a big smile on my face.
I started at Belchen today and the parking lot was pretty empty early in the morning. When I packed up my things at lunchtime, there were no more free parking spaces. So it's worth getting up early.
