Snow report Upper Black Forest, 01/05/2017

Snow condition
There could be a lot more, but if you have to wait that long, you take what you can get. Due to the wind, local conditions vary quite a lotIt's enough to go up to about 1000 m - but at this altitude you'll definitely get a few molehill detchers, especially because of the fantastic loose snow (see snow quality)! Therefore only one star for now.
Snow quality
The snow is reminiscent of Canadian conditions, but unfortunately leads to frozen molehills being hit from time to time. If we look at the quality alone, it has to be at least four stars
Risks
Negligible on this route. We did not look into the steeper Zastler Tal.
Overall impression
Were out and about in arctic temperatures and glorious weather on the standard Stellenbach-Toter Mann-Feldberg route. Great snow, but just enough for the parking lot (approx. 10-15 cm). On the Immisberg there was already considerably more in places. Just nice that winter is finally here!
