Snow condition
The start is also very easy from all altitudes around the Belchen. We opted for an early bird tour from the south. Luckily there were plenty of parking bays, otherwise it would have been difficult with the masses of snow. At the start, I quickly dug away 50 cm until I came across the layer of snow from the last few weeks. Further up, I stopped digging and just enjoyed the view.
Snow quality
It was a nice cold night, the snow was nice and dry and fluffy. As the two colleagues from yesterday already wrote, you need a good incline to make progress. Once you've picked up speed, the Pow flew through the air glistening in the sun today. It can go on like this.
Risks
The mountain rescue service warns, the news warns, the condition reporters warn and yet everything that isn't sitting on a tree at 3 o'clock is driven. The weirs are all still hanging dutifully in their places, waiting menacingly for the right moment or a suitable fool.
Overall impression
What a wonderful morning. Fantastic sunrise, fantastic snow and no wind at the summit!
On the ascent we overtook a group who were cursing loudly on the extremely steep 30 degree slope and couldn't get any further: "What a steep track they made yesterday, nobody can get up there".
On the descent, the crowds came and even more at the parking lot.
Nice to see so many people enjoying the sport :)
