10 cm - 20 cm of soft snow on a thin, compact base. In the lower area, the base was so thin that some frozen lumps of earth were sticking out. Not bad for the skis, just rattled a bit when skiing. It's difficult with the stars today, you could give a third one for being able to ski down that far at all.

Snow quality

Soft and powdery, garnished with beautiful surface rime in places. Nice to ride.

Risks

Where I was out and about today was not an issue. The biggest danger for my fairly new trousers came from the barbed wire fences.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

As I had to be on call today, I didn't want to go far and I didn't fancy the Stollenbachautobahn with the crowds. The surface was borderline but the weather was nice, the snow was good and I only saw one other skier in the distance. It was fun, conditions in the Black Forest are good.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
