Better thanks to the fresh snow and everything is nice and white again. Certainly 20-30 cm of fresh snow at 1200 m. But clearly not enough in the forest and if it rains on it now we'll start at 0.1...
Snow quality
The fresh snow was fluffy and loose, but unfortunately the snow cover was too heterogeneous. There were a few nice turns, even if you always end up on ice due to the heavy drifts.
Risks
Gale-force gusts and snowfall on Saturday afternoon, the cornices are likely to continue to grow... Continued danger from half-fallen trees in the forest.
Overall impression
This time a good two stars because of the nice wintry feeling and there were also a few nice turns. Overall, however, clearly too little for mid-January, especially when you read what's on offer in the Alps...
