Above 900 to 1000m there is a good snow situation which allows all the usual variants and tours in the Feldberg area. The lift association has prepared the Hnterwald descent according to the homepage ...

Where the sun was out or the wind was blowing over it, there was a layer of hard snow or ice. Especially where there was a little protection from the wind, the conditions were perfect with a light layer of powder between 10 and 15 cm on one side.

Risks

There are cornices in the Baldenweger Buck, but they look quite good at the moment. I could no longer recognize the weak layer from two weeks ago. It seems to me to be a well consolidated layer of snow.

I didn't set off for Rinken today until after midday with very few expectations. Both the weather and the snow clearly exceeded my expectations and only the onset of dusk prevented me from going any further.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
