Snow condition
I'm wavering between one and two stars, as off-piste skiing is only possible at the highest altitudes in the Upper Black Forest. From tomorrow, it will probably be all over for the time being with the current prospects. Only a few centimetres of the precipitation of the last few days has actually arrived as snow.
Snow quality
Conditions on the slopes were more or less like late spring next to the piste. As it hadn't snowed up, the surface was very hard, but the few centimetres of fresh snow made for a lot of fun on the steep slopes.
Risks
Today the main danger is a cornice avalanche, from tomorrow probably wet snow avalanches.
Overall impression
After our short trip to the Alps, we found a nice finale in the Black Forest.
