It has rained quite high up, the snow line yesterday and today was around 1000 meters in the Black Forest. From around 1200m there is a dry 5-10cm layer of powder, with wet snow underneath.
Snow quality
Tops above 1200m, but the summits were completely blown away today.
Risks
The drifting snow is not without danger, especially over the next few days when it overlaps. Today, the danger should not be underestimated due to loose fresh snow slides, which can easily slide off and lead to falls.
Overall impression
It wasn't easy to decide on an area today, we tried the Belchen and were rewarded.
