Snow condition
Above 1100m approx. 20-30cm, at 1300m approx. 40cm. All without a proper base. Not enough for a nice tour in the Black Forest. That's why we took to the slopes.
Snow quality
The temperature today was around 0 degrees at 1100m. The snow was rather heavy and sticky. But it's been worse before....
Risks
Wherever the wind blows there are cornices and you know where they hang in the Black Forest.
Overall impression
It was really windy today and the roads were not completely white because of fresh snow, but because of snowdrifts, making it a real obstacle for some drivers with yellow license plates.
There was a lot going on at the lifts, but it was still a nice morning.
