You can reach a maximum of 900m on south-facing meadows, but you're already in goshawk mode, and further up (we went up to 1150m) it's not lush, of course, but sufficient. depending on the exposure, you'll find more or less snow due to the wind. for today: eastern slopes lunar landscape, due to exposed Sahara crust, south-western slope with good wind protection a dream.

Between 0 and 4, two east-facing slopes are hell, large-scale wind-protected west-facing slopes are really nice. Cold, fast, powder snow.

Risks

Not to be rated around Muggenbrunn.

Overall impression

The attempt to escape man and wind was quite successful.
4 valleys, 4 slopes skied, one of them in bangers, first lines in the top wind-protected pow...was a lucky strike, was not on the plan...
A strong round overall: Muggenbrunn, Ungenwieden, detour to Graben, Aftersteg, Dachsrain - Muggenbrunn.
The Franzosenberg is well protected and still nice to ride.
Aftersteg is no longer possible.
We went to Aftersteg from the top in the middle. The plan was to ski NW from the central ridge to Aftersteg (because of the wind, we thought, surely good...)...it was probably blowing from below up through the valley as if from below. The entire ski slope resembled a lunar landscape. We then broke off on the hiking trail and went straight up to Dachsrain...
Almost never in the strong wind, sun, 3.5 great runs, 6 touring skiers and just as many cross-country skiers...a dream in green and white ... even if Werder only got one point..
