1 star for mid-February. Apart from the Feldberg (and possibly Belchen), there's nothing left, basically it's green up to 1100-1200 m high. Even above that there are many green patches. That hurts all the more when you consider how much snow there was a month ago. Wow!

Perfect spring snow including Sahara dust for the free polish of the ski base. The beautifully firned snow is fun to ski on, but unfortunately there's not much of it left...

Risks

In the Zastler there are a few larger fragments of the cornice above, otherwise the two cornices still seem to be lifting well. There is not enough snow for any avalanches away from them...

A cruel day, actually, just looking at the catastrophic snow conditions. Here I realize again what an incredible 4 days there were in the Black Forest just over a month ago. The little snow that is left is fun to ride. Unfortunately, all hell has broken loose on the few remaining patches of snow on the Feldberg...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
