Phew, hardly any decrease from last Sunday and it should stay that way for the next few days. Good start from Rinken or Feldbergpass (parking fee 30 minutes 1€, day 10€!). From there it's easy to get up to a strong 1/2 meter at the summit and both Feldberg and Herzogenhorn are still covered in snow and easy to do.
Snow quality
It snowed a little on Friday, now the conditions are much better again with compact old snow.
Risks
The cornices are slowly moving towards the valley and have clear and sometimes large cracks to the snow cover above. Wouldn't climb over it, as several tracks show. The snowpack was not soaked, so the day's progression was negligible as far as wet snow slides were concerned.
Overall impression
No ski tour was actually planned today, but when I looked at the webcams I had to go skiing :) and it was worth it today. Not much activity in the terrain, mainly hikers on exciting trails...
