Snow condition

There is currently still enough snow for tours at around 1,000 meters. Southern slopes are slowly starting to snow out, but all tours should still be possible without restrictions in the Feldberg area until Easter.

Snow quality

After a cold night, the sun has made the snow wonderfully fluffy today. Ideal spring conditions in the Black Forest at the moment. Only on very shady north-facing slopes is there perhaps still a bit of powder snow.

Risks

The main danger at the moment is the possible breakage of a cornice. In the next few days, however, the danger of wet slides will increasingly come to the fore, today the conditions were still ideal and I couldn't discover any (wet) avalanches (I was on the Zastler and Baldenweger).

Actually four star level today above the fog, which had cleared by midday. Unfortunately, I forgot to readjust my binding and promptly made the 1a exit, hence a personal deduction

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
