Snow condition
You don't often find good snow this far down in the Black Forest at the end of March. This will change as the weather warms up, but maybe winter has a surprise in store. On the north side it's good up to 1000m.
Snow quality
Not as fluffy as on Saturday, but still powdery.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
My assessment: low. As long as you stay away from cornices and steep terrain. There is more sluff in the latter than in the last few days, but no cracks were observed. The greatest danger came from ice/snow from the sunlit trees!
Overall impression
just missed 5 stars. But only because the view of the Alps wasn't that good ;) What can I say? Weather? Better than predicted. Snow? Better than expected. A bit settled, but still powder snow (north). It was almost surreal to have the whole scenery to myself. It's quite rare in the SW these days. Despite the warming, the snow is sure to last another day or two on the north side.
