The fresh snow was only of a cosmetic nature, but there is still a thick blanket of snow above 1200m. The Stollenbach connection can only be reached by carrying skis, Rinken or Passhöhe are still ideal.
Snow quality
Fresh snow max. 5cm, but still top conditions today, partly nicely groomed. Zastlerrinnen were also in good condition today and with foresight the icy ground was kept within limits.
Risks
Moisture penetration will increase significantly over the next few days and with it the risk of the sometimes thick cornices falling into the valley. Today, the only a few centimeters thick fresh snow was easy to dissolve.
Overall impression
Better than expected, the warming was noticeable by 1 pm, but hadn't turned the snow into fluff yet.
