For the Black Forest and now in mid-April, the snow conditions are still great. Starting from the top of the Feldberg pass on a continuous snow cover is still possible for a few more days.
Snow quality
The last snow came before Easter and was only of a cosmetic nature. In the meantime, it has completely turned into firn, Sahara dust has been limited here, so skiing is still possible.
Risks
The moisture penetration is not without its problems, yesterday the snow cover was mostly well supported even in the evening. The cornices look like they're going to slide off at any moment, so I'd be extremely careful.
