When I got up the mountain this morning I was surprised by the amount of snow. Above 1200 there is a good 50 cm of settled powder snow and even in Fahl there is still 25 cm of wet snow that prevents any contact with the ground. I've rarely had such a good start to the season on the Feldberg

Well, it was quite damp and warm during the snowfall and the snow has already settled well at the top of the Seebuck and you only sink in a little, but this doesn't bother you much and you can ski super fast descents on the flat. down in Fahl the snow cover is completely soaked but still fast and compact enough not to have any contact with the ground even on steep slopes.

Risks

The cornice slopes are already loaded. So be careful, the cornice on the Seebuck was jumped today and then stopped directly in the slope below and run up again.

I've rarely had such a good start to the season on the Feldberg without contact with rocks. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to do a few laps yesterday, when the snow was certainly much better.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
