The snow conditions are very good for early December in the Black Forest. The classic variants in the Feldberg area, starting at around 700 meters above sea level, should all be possible. In the Zastler area, however, there should be some more snow to cover the many hedges, otherwise slalom skiing is the order of the day. Stones are generally covered, had no contact.

Snow quality

The variants in Zastler and Immisberg still had a nice blanket of powder today, but are already pretty rutted. Places exposed to the wind, such as the summit slope on the Feldberg, are characterized by wind mangles.

Risks

Couldn't find any critical signs today, even the steeper gullies in the Zastler have already been skied. The cornices are forming, but the dimensions are still manageable.

Overall impression

This morning we took advantage of the nice weather and went on a short tour, by 2 pm it had already started to snow and in the evening it started to snow again, but it wasn't supposed to be very heavy.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
