Now we finally have the three stars. The snow of the last few weeks has not melted, but has held up very well above 1000 meters. Fresh on top, we've now had another 10 cm with little wind.
Snow quality
Not super fluffy, soft and smooth like grandma's freshly washed towels, but still good, the skis turn easily, snow doesn't stick and it only gets a little heavier at the bottom. Overall, however, they are great fun to ride.
Risks
The snow cover seems quite stable so far. The temperatures over the last few days have been favorable and the snow has fallen with very little wind influence. stones, bushes and molehills have almost completely disappeared. but watch out: there are still some fences around!
Overall impression
So far the best day and night in the Black Forest. The handbrake is almost off when riding, first small jumps possible without direct contact with the ground.
If it continues like this, the interesting routes can be ridden soon.
Other than that, you finally have to look across the border...
