You can just about get to the parking lot, but it was really borderline. Barely 5 cm at 750 m, then it quickly becomes 20-30 cm at 1000 m. Further up, it was significantly more, towards 50 cm. Even in the Black Forest you can do more! It looked much whiter towards Feldberg.

Very wet and sticky at the bottom, of course, then a nice layer of fresh snow from about 900 m and nice to ride. There is even a bit of dust. Unfortunately, some slopes are completely blown off and icy.

Risks

No avalanche danger on our very flat tour. However, signs of strong winds are also recognizable here. Still great danger of snow-covered molehills, especially in the lower area.

Nice tour with a beautiful play of colors in the sky in the afternoon. Unfortunately little snow <1000 m. But I immediately believe that there is much more snow in the Feldberg area. The famous Feldberg snow island cloud hung there all afternoon, while we only had some fog at the top. Even on this not really worthwhile tour, there was a lot going on. Now it urgently needs to snow a little deeper (and then stay that way) so that everything isn't just spread over a handful of routes. Or you could just throw yourself into the fray with the crowd...
