Exposition
Snow condition
from the tree line down to the Rhone valley. so that you can freeride without injury up to 1300m.
Snow quality
Wow! fluffy powder spray flowing over the shoulder. heavier at the bottom, of course, and where there are no trees with wind influence, but in the forest: perfect, even bottomless.
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
We stayed strictly in the forest, no observations here. If you drive out a little where the forest becomes lighter and the slope tilts to the southwest, the fresh snow from the weekend starts to slide on the soaked and then frozen base of 2021.
Overall impression
A crazy day in the Magic Forest. The cumulative 40-50 cm of fresh snow that has fallen since Wednesday is impressive! It continues to snow from time to time and the wind, which was still quite strong at the start of the day, is slowly dying down. The ground and old snow are sufficiently covered and visibility in the forest is great. Bottomless happiness. Nothing going on. More of these days please, Mrs. Holle :)
