Confetti on the ascent - stones on the descent

Snow condition
In Valais there's snow up to 1300 m above sea level and it's freshly sugared again since yesterday's precipitation. Insanely beautiful for the eye. Little Canada with red larks and fresh snow.
Snow quality
As there was nothing here before the weekend, the total snow thickness is maybe 30-40cm. Not compacted. No old snow base. Means: you can glide through the cold fresh snow, but you are directly on the rock.
Risks
Slf issues a 2. As the day warms up, we observe no sliding snow slides and no other fresh cracks or anything reminiscent of an avalanche. The wind is strong on the Simplon. If it snows in the next few days with wind, caution is certainly advised!
Overall impression
With the next snowfall, the descent is also fun! But wow! The first time back in the mountains for ages and then it's so beautiful! Red Green Yellow WHITE! Yesterday was the start of carnival and just in time, our tour today went through lark confetti, tinted reddish-orange, up to 2400m. Unfortunately, there wasn't much going on downhill. Riding backwards on the towpath was the most fun today!!! We moved a few fallen trees lengthways. Before the next snow covers them completely and we have to thread them ;)
