Snow condition

You can go up from 1300, but realistically only up to 1600m. Above the tree line at 2100 it gets really blown out.

Snow quality

1 von 5 Sterne

In Visperterminen, after the last snow weekend, there were peak wind speeds of 167km/h wind. Of course, this somehow destroyed everything a little... The windy slopes and even some grass peeping through (it was still fully covered on Monday) are less of a nuisance on the way up than on the way down, but still don't fit into the idyllic picture of the small - not yet open - area of Visperterminen (21.12. opening)

Risks

Absolutely nothing observed, officially it had a 2 according to SLF.

Overall impression

From the village of Visperterminen, you have a good 1000 meters of altitude ahead of you until you reach the top of the Rothorli. Good for getting your thighs used to winter mode and touring. Not necessarily to be rewarded with easy, swaggering powder turns. The last few meters on snow-covered and partly icy roads are all the more fun! Sometimes sparks fly when you scrape the tarmac with the edge ;)

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
