In the freeride-relevant zones of the ski area (> 2000 m), absolutely top. As the last snow has mostly fallen right up to the top without any noticeable wind influence, pretty much all the rocks (and also tree stumps a little lower down) that you could realistically wish for as part of the snow cover are well snowed in.

The amount of fresh snow over the last 2 days is difficult to estimate. Most of the time it was at least ankle to knee deep when skiing, sometimes even more powder, without having unpacked the really thick freeride slabs. Not the fluffiest powder, but not wet or difficult to ski, it just didn't always want to dust up properly. I hardly ever noticed older tracks (from yesterday), although some of them were still clearly visible.

Risks

3 according to LLB. Apart from small surface slides, I couldn't observe any avalanche activity. Further away from the ski area, however, I would be quite cautious, as a lot of fresh snow has accumulated in places (albeit with mostly light winds).

Overall impression

Really good for freeriding today. The visibility could have been good for a bit longer and the snow a bit fluffier, but otherwise there was nothing to complain about. Tuesday could be even better if the PowderGuide snow forecast and the other weather services don't fantasize too much this time.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
