Pila - Vielleicht wird es morgen wieder etwas besser

Overall impression
Snow condition
Still top, especially in freeride terrain above approx. 2000 m.
Snow quality
The 20 to 30 cm of fresh snow from Thursday fell really wet up to the very top (2700 m) or became wet after the snowfall on Fri/Sat due to the warming. Not real slush like in the spring, but still very heavy cardboard snow, mostly similar to cement. With today's cooling and the onset of light snowfall, it could get a little better again soon.
Risks
According to the LLB, a 3. I was mainly out on the slopes today because of the poor snow and very limited visibility, so I don't really have an 'opinion' today. If the wet snowpack cools down again and solidifies further, the situation could ease a bit for the (hopefully soon) coming new snowfalls.
Overall impression
It was nothing for freeriding today: bad snow and poor visibility. The slopes were still quite decent and thanks to the bad weather, at least there were only a few people on the mountain. Now we need some fresh snow and colder temperatures again.
