Still great, especially above 2200 m. At lower altitudes there has been some loss in the last 2 weeks due to the warm temperatures.

In the ski area, all variants are rutted with a mainly hard, stable snow surface. In a few shady slopes and in the forest, there is probably still a bit of powder above approx. 2200 m, but this is only worthwhile if you are a little further away from the more frequently skied variants.

Risks

Today was relatively relaxed, as the last fresh snowfall was two weeks ago and the temperatures in the high Alps were a little lower than the last few days. Even the sun was (unfortunately) mostly hidden behind some dense clouds. In the warm period of the last 2 weeks (and probably also predicted again from Mon) many small and also some medium avalanches have occurred, especially in western exposures. These have also buried parts of the often-traveled variants in the ski areas (see photo).

Overall impression

Well, it was nothing for freeriding today. Quite decent for piste skiing. Ski tours in one of the side valleys could still be worthwhile, especially if the temperatures don't rise too much over the next few days. I'm sticking to mountain biking at the moment and won't be taking my skis out again until the next snowfall.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
